The Team
The Private Client team works across multiple East Anglia offices, advising clients on the full spectrum of lifetime planning, including:
* Wills and trusts
* Complex lifetime tax planning
* Estate administration
* Powers of attorney
* Court of Protection work
Team members are based in Ipswich, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, and Norwich, sharing work, expertise, and support across offices. You’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of cases and never be limited to a single location or type of work.
The Role
This position is ideal for a Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with around 1–2 years’ post‑qualification experience who is ready to take the next step and gain responsibility while still receiving strong support and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing your own caseload with sound financial management
* Drafting documents, letters and client advice
* Conducting face‑to‑face and remote client meetings
* Advising on wills, trusts, probate, powers of attorney and lifetime planning
* Conducting legal research and keeping up‑to‑date with developments
* Supporting, mentoring, and coaching junior team members
* Collaborating across offices as needed to support client work
* Assisting with business development initiatives
* Making effective use of technology and case management systems
