Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Waltham Forest Talking Therapies formerly known as Waltham Forest IAPT, (Improving Access to Psychological Services) for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join the management team.
Main duties of the job
We are keen to offer this opportunity to a CBT therapist with at least 3 years experience in an IAPT primary care service undertaking operational duties, line managing staff and offering clinical supervision while carrying a small caseload.
The post holder will demonstrate high standards of supervision, strong leadership and a commitment to team working. We are preferably looking for someone who has managerial and or supervisory experience as the main aspect of this role will be operational. The successful candidate will maintain a small caseload of clients in addition to his/her operational role, which will include performance management, budget analysis, managing sickness absences, health roster, service development and supporting the team to meet Trust/NHS Talking Therapies KPI’s. The post holder will also have knowledge and skills in using Trust & Talking Therapies Data Systems.
The post holder will have a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy qualification, hold practitioner accreditation with the BABCP or be a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist.

High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,714 and a maximum payment of £5,941 - per annum, pro rata for part time)

1. Maximum score 4 NVQ level 2 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy
2. Post-graduate qualification in psychology or a psychological therapy ( clinical or counselling psychology, psychotherapy, IAPT training, PGDip)
Experience

3. Demonstrable experience of working with primary care practitioners
4. Experience of working as a senior clinician in IAPT
5. Experience of managing staff and large NHS teams
