Senior Data Engineer (FME / ArcGIS) – Contract (Outside IR35)
We’re supporting a major UK utilities organisation on a large-scale GIS transformation programme, migrating legacy systems to the ArcGIS platform and ESRI Utility Network model.
They’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong FME expertise to support data integration, interface design, and migration activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and build data interfaces into ArcGIS
* Develop and test FME workflows (Readers, Transformers, Writers)
* Support data migration from legacy GIS systems
* Work closely with SMEs and technical teams to validate integrations
* Assist with ArcGIS data analysis and Utility Network configuration
Requirements
* Strong hands-on experience with FME (essential)
* Experience working with ArcGIS (Desktop Pro preferred)
* Background in utilities / infrastructure (ideally DNO)
* Proven experience in data integration, ETL, and system interfaces
* Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
