The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller on behalf of a specialist Research Organisation with offices in Hertfordshire - easily commutable from Harpenden, St Albans, Luton, Hemel and surroundings.
The Role
As Financial Controller you will report to the FD and work closely with department heads and contribute to cross functional initiatives that enable effective financial management to aid organisational performance. Day to day duties will consist of:
1. Lead the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
2. Oversee the timely and accurate processing of purchase invoices, payment requests, and expense claims.
3. Ensure monthly bank reconciliations are completed and that intercompany accounts are reconciled as part of the month end close process.
4. Lead the production of monthly management accounts for the Business and support the FD in preparing the annual organisational budget.
5. Production of annual report and accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards
6. Leadership of month end process and production and presentation of management accounts
7. Regular financial reporting to the Executive Board
8. Use financial information to give recommendations on key business decisions
9. Leadership of the Procurement Team
Your Profile
You will be a Qualified Accountant with extensive experience leading on the production of draft statutory accounts and internal management accounts. Deep experience & knowledge in financial accounting, reporting and control. This is an excellent senior opportunity to work within an organisation that can affect the wider world and community
Salary and Benefits
Role of Financial Controller in Herfordshire is working 3 days a week in the office and offering a salary of £70-75K
