Newstaff Employment Services is currently seeking a skilled Bench Joiner to join our team in Flitwick. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating wooden components and fixtures in a workshop environment. The ideal candidate will have strong woodworking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work from technical drawings to produce high-quality joinery products. Responsibilities Work from technical drawings and specifications to create and assemble wooden structures such as doors, windows, and cabinetry. Operate various woodworking tools and machinery, including saws, routers, and sanders, to shape and finish wood components. Ensure quality control by measuring and inspecting materials and finished products for accuracy. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and project requirements. Participate in continual improvement processes to enhance productivity and product quality. Requirements Proven experience as a Bench Joiner or in a similar woodworking role. Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, tools, and machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team. Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in a woodworking environment. Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with team members.
