About the CCRI
The Countryside and Community Research Institute (CCRI) is the largest specialist rural research centre in the UK, with expertise in policy and planning for the countryside and environment across the UK, Europe, and beyond. Our team comprises social scientists from diverse backgrounds, including anthropologists, policy analysts, data scientists, and economists.
As CCRI is expanding, we invite speculative applications for Research Assistant or Fellow positions, which will be considered as opportunities arise. We encourage you to complete the application form and include a tailored cover letter supporting your CV. CVs without supporting documentation are unlikely to succeed. We seek candidates with knowledge of CCRI topics, ability to work efficiently in a supportive yet high-achieving environment, and a desire to develop research skills. Our team is committed to mutual support, and our work has been recognized as 'internationally significant'.
Application Process
We are interested in hearing from individuals with a master's degree, research experience, and an interest in the full research lifecycle. Please outline your recent research activities and projects of interest in your application. An information document detailing required skills and responsibilities is attached. When recruiting for specific roles, we will provide the official job description.
Your application will be kept on file for 12 months. If a suitable position matching your skills becomes available, we will contact you. For interested opportunities, please reach out to us. Submitting a speculative application does not constitute an application for a specific role.
