Manager – Job Description
As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for
maintaining the high standards of service and quality that our guests have come
to expect in both our Summertown & Jericho restaurants. This role requires
strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well
under pressure while fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
This is a full time, hands-on, floor based role across both
Mamma Mia sites.

first opened our doors in Summertown in 1981 with our Jericho location opening in
2010. For decades, our beloved neighbourhood restaurants have been a
staple in the Oxford community. We pride ourselves on our excellent reputation
and the loyalty of our many regular guests.
We’re an independent business with a strong focus on
fresh, authentic handmade pizza and Italian cuisine. We are proud to

About the role…
Key responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations from the floor, ensuring
seamless service.
·
Support, develop and motivate the Front of House team.
·
Train new members of staff, ensuring our exacting standards
are understood and upheld at all times.
·
Work closely with Head Chef to ensure that our full menu
offerings are consistently delivered to a high standard.
·
Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
·
Maintain and streghten our excellent customer relationships.
·
Build new partnerships with local businesses.
·
Manage restaurant bookings (online, phone, email) to ensure
we are maximising our table plans.
·
Manage the rota for both Summertown and Jericho locations,
knowing when to adjust based on business needs.
About you…
The ideal candidate is someone who shares our commitment to
quality, hospitality, and who enjoys working in fast-paced customer-facing
role.
Essential:
·
Strong previous experience in hospitality.
·
Knowedge of food safety standards and regulations.
·
Excellent leadership skills, able to motivate and inspire
others.
·
Proficiency in restaurant management and point-of-sale
systems.
·
Financial acumen and budgeting experience.
·
A genuine passion for building and maintaing strong community
relationships.
Desirable:
·
Restaurant Management experience.
·
Intercultural communiciation and language skills
