Electrical and Mechanical Engineer – Runcorn Area Only
Hexagon Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our long-established manufacturing client based in Runcorn (WA7). This position would ideally suit candidates living within easy commuting distance of Runcorn, Widnes, Frodsham, or Warrington.
Role: Electrical and Mechanical Engineer
Location: Runcorn, Cheshire
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per annum (DOE)
About the Role:
This is a hands-on engineering role with approximately 75% electrical and 25% mechanical focus. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and installing a range of production machinery, ensuring smooth operation across site.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance, installations, and repairs.
• Complete safety checks, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
• Support breakdown response and preventative maintenance activities.
• Work closely with other engineers and production teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Participate in overtime and call-out cover as required (paid at enhanced rates).
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar maintenance or engineering role.
• Strong electrical knowledge and familiarity with industrial machinery.
• Able to diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical faults.
• Comfortable working as part of a close-knit local team.
• Candidates must be based locally to Runcorn and able to attend site reliably.
Working Hours:
• Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (40 hours per week).
• Overtime paid at time and a half.
• Sunday call-outs paid at double time (minimum 4 hours).
