The RoleAs a Site Setting Out Engineer, youll play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately and efficiently. Youll work closely with the Site Manager and wider engineering team, providing high-quality setting out, surveying and technical support across active sites.Key Responsibilities Daily setting out and surveying Monitoring movement, vibration, noise and material compliance Maintaining calibration and preservation of survey control points Recording inspections, measurements and construction progress Reviewing drawings, identifying changes and raising technical queries Supporting quality, environmental and safety compliance Calling off materials and monitoring usage/waste Producing short-term programmes and assisting with planning Monitoring plant utilisation and supporting site logistics Contributing to daily/weekly briefings and progress reviews Supporting training and development of apprentices and junior staff
What Youll Need Strong experience in site surveying and setting out Proficiency with AutoCAD and modern surveying equipment (Total Stations, EDM, levels) Experience in marine, flood defence, water, coastal or infrastructure projects (preferred) CSCS (Manager or Academically Qualified) Full UK driving licence Experience with Autodesk packages such as LSS or Civils 3D (advantageous) Competent with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Outlook
