Key Tasks And Responsibilities
* Lead the EHCP process from consultation to completion, ensuring compliance and high‑quality documentation.
* Quality assure EHCPs and ensure all processes meet statutory and Local Authority requirements.
* Act as the main contact for Local Authorities, parents and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
* Produce accurate EHCP funding costings and work with finance partners to align resources with learner needs.
* Monitor EHCP provision and outcomes and provide reports, guidance and recommendations to strengthen SEND practice.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
* Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes, and experience supporting learners with SEND in FE, school or specialist settings.
* Knowledge of SEND legislation, with SEND Law Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications (or commitment to complete).
* Experience coordinating and contributing in a SEND provision.
* Ability to guide and support staff in delivering effective SEND provision, including experience working within multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Understanding of a wide range of needs, including C&L, SEMH, ASC, physical and sensory needs, and strategies to support them effectively.
* Maths and English at GCSE Grade 4+/Level 2 and Award in Education and Teaching Level 3 or equivalent.
