Duties
* Supervise kitchen staff and manage team dynamics to foster a collaborative work environment.
* Plan and prepare menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served.
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organised kitchen at all times.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, helping them develop their culinary skills and knowledge.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during peak hours.
* Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste.
* Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items that enhance the restaurant's offerings.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is essential.
* Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
* Experience in supervising kitchen staff, demonstrating effective team management abilities.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen operations.
* Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
