We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Technician Apprentice to join our SHE Team here in Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a career in safety, health and environmental management while gaining hands-on experience and a nationally recognised qualification. You’ll support the SHE Team in ensuring legal and company SHE requirements are met, while playing an active role in strengthening our positive safety culture across all sites. A key part of the role will be learning how we maintain certification to ISO Standards - ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management). Please be aware this is a hybrid role with time spent working from home and in the office. The successful candidate will work at our Head Office (HU1) and our National Distribution Centre (HU4). As part of the SHE Team, you’ll: • Actively work towards your Level 3 apprenticeship qualification, supported by your line manager and assessor • Use SHE software systems to input data, manage documents and produce reports • Monitor and follow up safety actions, supporting site safety monitoring systems • Assist with risk assessments (e.g. DSE, manual handling, COSHH) • Attend and contribute to SHE Committee meetings and site visits • Support audits, investigations and continual improvement opportunities • Support our key sites during BSI assessment days and gain an understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 • Research industry best practice and highlight improvement opportunities • Support wellbeing campaigns and safety initiatives, including special projects • Assist with the review and implementation of SHE policies and procedures We’re keen to hear from organised, proactive individuals who are genuinely interested in building a career in safety, health and environmental management.
