Our client, a long-established family firm with a network of branches in the South and East of England, that supply machinery and services to the agricultural, construction and professional ground care machinery markets, are looking for a Web Shop Administrator to be based at their branch local to Maldon, Essex.

Main Purpose of the Role:
The Web Shop Administrator will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our online retail platform. Working within a small, dynamic team, you will be responsible for ensuring product listings are accurate, engaging, and up to date, as well as supporting the smooth running of the web shop. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, colleagues, and customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Create, update, and maintain product listings, ensuring all descriptions, images, and specifications are accurate and appealing.
* Use AI and creative tools to generate compelling product descriptions and marketing content.
* Monitor stock levels and product availability, liaising internal teams as required.
* Answering customer telephone enquiries, managing queries, and assisting in securing sales.
* Process web shop orders and coordinate with warehouse/dispatch teams to ensure timely fulfilment.
* Provide first-line support to colleagues and customers for web shop-related queries.
* Highlighting opportunities for web shop improvement.
* Ensure all online content adheres to company guidelines and deadlines.
* Assist with promotional campaigns, seasonal updates, and special offers.
* Carry out general administrative duties to support the Web Shop and Retail team.
To be Considered:
* Creative flair with the ability to write and adapt engaging product descriptions.
* Familiarity with AI content-generation tools.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to work under pressure.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
* Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms (desirable).
* Accuracy with numbers and data entry.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and confident with a flexible approach.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of work.
