Commercial Manager – Leeds Onsite
£35,000 – £45,000 + Manager Bonus Scheme

Grafton Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a new client with the appointment of their first ever Commercial Manager. This is a newly created position within a growing. UK SME that operates in the specialist supply sector, supporting trade customers across the UK.
The organisation provides a wide range of technical and mechanical products to professional installers and commercial customers. With strong year-on-year growth and a reputation for reliability, they are now looking for a commercially minded leader who can combine hands-on sales delivery with sound day to day commercial decision making.
The Opportunity
This role offers genuine scope to influence commercial performance, shape the commercial function and play a key role in the continued growth of the business. You will work closely with internal teams, support operational activity and help maintain excellent service levels for a trade-focused customer base.
A manager bonus scheme is included, designed to recognise leadership and broader contribution to the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial and Sales Delivery
* Generate revenue through proactive outbound activity
* Identify upsell, cross sell and new business opportunities
* Re-engage lapsed trade customers to improve retention and long-term value
* Set a consistent standard for customer engagement and sales activity
Commercial Leadership
* Make clear, commercially sound decisions on pricing, promotions and customer requests
* Provide practical, day to day commercial support to the wider team
* Act as the escalation point for customer queries that require senior input
Operational and Team Support
* Support the day to day running of the business
* Maintain strong service levels and ensure product availability
* Work closely with internal teams to align sales activity with operational capacity
Customer and Supplier Relationships
* Build strong, trust-based relationships with trade and commercial customers
* Increase customer value through proactive account management
* Work collaboratively with suppliers to maximise commercial outcomes
Experience Required
* 5+ years experience in a commercial, sales management or similar leadership role
* Proven experience in outbound sales and generating revenue personally
* Strong commercial judgement with confidence in day to day decision making
* Experience working within a hands-on SME environment
* Excellent communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
* Proactive, adaptable and results driven
Salary and Benefits
* £35,000 – £45,000 Salary (Depending on Experience)
