Job Description Were looking for an experienced Transport Manager to join one of our prestigious, global clients based in Slough ! Youll oversee the day-to-day running of a fleet of around 50 vehicles, ensuring operations run smoothly while maintaining industry and regulatory standards. Youll work closely with drivers, operational teams and senior management to keep the fleet performing efficiently and safely. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established international logistics operation where youll have real responsibility for the transport function and the opportunity to contribute to ongoing improvements across the fleet. A valid Operator CPC is essential for this role, as youll be responsible for managing the companys Operators Licence, ensuring all vehicles and drivers meet legal requirements. Experience with Air Freight or European transport operations is highly desirable. This is a Full-Time, Permanent position! What youll be doing Manage the Operators Licence and ensure regulatory requirements are met Oversee fleet planning, vehicle maintenance and defect management to maximise vehicle availability Monitor driver compliance, including tachographs, WTD reporting and driver performance Maintain accurate fleet and driver records through internal systems and the RHA portal Support driver communication, training and licence/CPC requirements Handle accident investigations and fleet-related incidents, liaising with insurers and third parties where required Monitor tyre management, supplier relationships and fleet costs Recruit and onboard qualified PAYE drivers Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and transport operations Provide guidance on transport legislation and best practice to the wider operations team Hours Monday-Friday, Days Either 7am-5pm or 8am-6pm Pay Up to £60,000 (depending on experience) Skills/Experience Required Minimum 5 years experience within a transport department involving HGV operations Strong team player with the ability to collaborate with other Transport Managers and operational teams Operator CPC (Transport Manager qualification) is essential Class 1 licence desirable but not essential Full UK driving licence Benefits Competitive salary 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) Company pension scheme Free on-site parking Monday-Friday, no weekends Supportive team environment Essential All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship not provided).
