A fast-growing social housing and supported living provider is looking for a Senior Finance Officer to lead finance operations and protect revenue. You will be working in a busy office and this is a hands‑on, high‑responsibility role where accuracy, follow‑up, and organization are critical.
What You’ll Do
* Chase payments from local authorities and housing partners with persistence and precision.
* Reconcile remittances, forecast cashflow, and produce monthly P&L reports.
* Manage Accounts Payable efficiently and accurately.
* Submit required evidence and documentation to councils and housing associations.
* Complete Housing Benefit forms and other tenant‑related financial documents.
* Own the tenant ledger: sign‑ins/sign‑outs, updates, and integrity of all records.
* Navigate multiple housing association portals daily.
* Identify, investigate, and challenge missing or incorrect payments.
* Be super organised, process‑driven, and phone‑confident at all times.
Who You Are
* Experienced in finance/accounts within social housing, supported living, or public sector.
* Strong at reconciliation, forecasting, and chasing aged debt.
* Excellent communicator, particularly over the phone.
* Highly organised, detailed, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
* Confident with finance systems and analytical reporting.
