Key Duties & Responsibilities
Our controllers are responsible for ensuring timely delivery schedules for over 300 vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience with dispatching and controlling work using planning software, vetting plans for errors, and coordinating drivers to ensure schedules are completed safely. Responsibilities include advising customers of delays or changes, resolving issues during shifts, and improving service and efficiency KPIs. Liaising with the Planning Supervisor and field management to ensure resources are available and escalations are managed is essential. You will also assist Customer Service Administrators with investigating customer complaints and delivery queries.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with logistics experience to join a leading third-party logistics provider in a specialized sector.
Hours of work: 12-hour shifts, approximately 33 hours per week, on a rotating pattern covering days, nights, and weekends.

* Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be willing to work a shift pattern including mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.
* Have knowledge of UK geography.
* Desired but not essential: experience with WinDMS, Drivers Hours Regulations, CPC qualification or other transport industry qualifications, experience in just-in-time road haulage, and working in the transport industry.
* Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
