Candidate Requirements
* Experience working with residents living with dementia
* Genuine interest in residents’ wellbeing
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to motivate and organize activities
* Good time management and planning skills
* Ability to build self-esteem and stay informed on new activities
Responsibilities
* Organize and coordinate activities tailored to residents’ needs and abilities, including themed events
* Book external entertainers and organize community trips considering transport and accessibility
* Contribute to planning a stimulating activity program to enhance residents' quality of life
* Maintain records of participation and review resident needs regularly
* Maintain a portfolio of activities available within the home and community
* Participate in fundraising events
General Duties
* Attend staff meetings
* Complete mandatory and development training
* Communicate effectively with staff, relatives, visitors, and agencies
* Promote safe working practices
This position is subject to two acceptable references and an enhanced DBS disclosure, the cost of which will be covered by the successful applicant.
