About The Role

Our Planning and Logistics Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning, customer service, materials management, and logistics operations for our manufacturing site. They are accountable for developing and executing the site supply chain strategy, including S&OP/Supply Review, capacity planning, transport and warehousing, and export operation, ensuring that plans are communicated to internal and external operations.
They will be responsible for service, cost, and inventory targets and will be working with key KPIs including PFR1%, PFR2%, Net Working Capital, Stock Write Offs, Logistics Cost Per Case, Container Fill Rate, On-Time-In-Full, Outstanding Change Controls.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead on all planning and logistics escalations, covering inbound materials, internal manufacturing, copack, warehousing and outbound freight.
* Ownership of mid to long term capacity review for the site.
* Ensure that planning exceptions are actioned by the team with clear communication of risk and mitigation to markets.
* Ensure that campaigns planned for the rolling 4 weeks are reviewed and agreed with operations.
* Manage and track PFR projections via Rapid Response (Kinaxis) or equivalent tools ensuring any issues are escalated and actioned protecting service to key markets.
* Lead review of MOQs and planning parameters of finished goods and components.
* Own RCCP and capacity decisions for accountable manufacturing and copack lines as well as key logistics resources, ensuring transparency of constraints and clear communication of trade‑offs.
* Manage and maintain Planning Rate reviews and OEE understanding for key lines, ensuring integration of performance assumptions into MPS and capacity plans.
* Lead, train, mentor and coach the Planning, Customer Service, Materials and Logistics teams.
* Understand SLOB and market alignment for finished goods as well as PIPO for components.
* Responsible for system governance for all areas impacting planning and logistics financials, ensuring data integrity in SAP and Kinaxis.
* Accountable for schedule adherence targets, review and continuously improve ongoing under/over performance.
* Challenge and effectively lead MPS sign‑offs and adherence, ensuring full alignment with commercial priorities, site capability, material and logistics availability, including export lead times and delivery windows.
* Ensure Pack Fill Rate, Container Fill Rate and OTIF targets are met; ensure gap analyses and action plans are created, owned and implemented.
* Own the relationship with key logistics partners and freight forwarders.
The experience we're looking for
* 10-15 years' experience in Planning and/or Logistics (ideally in an FMCG environment), with demonstrable experience of leading end‑to‑end Supply Chain teams across multiple geographies.
* Detailed knowledge of planning processes (MPS, MRP, RCCP, S&OP/IBP) and logistics operations (warehousing, transportation, export and deployment)
* Detailed knowledge of MRP processes and systems (SAP / Rapid Response / Kinaxis preferred), including planning master data governance and integration with logistics systems (e.g. OTM, freight visibility tools)
* Experience with transportation and export management systems and concepts (e.g. OTM, FourKites, incoterms, export documentation, customs procedures, container optimisation).
* Ability to make timely decisions based on logical assumptions, factual information and full consideration of resources, constraints and organisation values.
* Ability to challenge and influence people when necessary, balancing assertiveness with collaboration and strong stakeholder management
* Proven ability to lead, develop and manage multiple direct reports (typically 4 or more), fostering accountability, engagement and high performance across planning, logistics and customer service teams.
* Good communication skills with a customer‑centric approach and the ability to engage, challenge and influence senior stakeholders across functions, regions and markets.
* Excellent Excel skills and strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret complex operational and financial data and translate into clear actions.
* Certification in Inventory Management, Planning or Logistics (e.g. APICS, CSCP, CLTD) (preferred)
* Specialisation or education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or Planning processes (preferred)
* Educated to University degree (preferred)
