SEND Teaching Assistant:
Part time Teaching Assistant (Flexible working pattern available)
Start date: As soon as possible
Salary: Experience-related Surrey Pay Scale PS3 (£23,576- Full-Time Equivalent) pro rata
Experienced Teaching Assistant required from September 2025 as we grow to have our first Year 6 cohort.
The children, staff, governors and parents of St Peter & St Paul Church Primary School wish to recruit an outstanding SEND teaching assistant who is committed to providing pupils with ambition and a love of learning whilst supporting pupils to develop the communication skills, courage and resilience that they need to embrace their future lives with confidence.
We are looking for a candidate who:
1. Is qualified to GCSE level in English and Maths and is competent in IT
2. Has experience of working in a school environment or educational setting
3. Has experience of working with pupils with special educational needs
4. Has the ability to run intervention programmes and plan and deliver sessions for individuals or small groups
5. Has high expectations of children’s achievement, progress and behaviour
6. Is a pro-active team member
7. Is able to build relationships with parents, staff and children
8. Will respect and maintain confidentiality
9. Is committed to promoting the ethos and values of our school
