About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial and Contract Specialist to join a dynamic team supporting large-scale energy and infrastructure projects. This role requires strong commercial acumen and proven expertise in contract management within complex, regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop strategic vendor strategies that align with business strategy and requirements. Evaluate contracts and provide recommendations to support business needs.
* Assist in shaping Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Pricing structures.
* Guide the business on legal indemnities, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Security, and financial commitments.
* Support complex contract negotiations and management.
* Proficient in all financial elements related to contract and commercial management. Shape commercial models, challenge assumptions, and align finance with business strategies.
* Support teams in resolving complex financial queries and assist in financial planning activities.
* Build strong relationships across the business and with vendors. Influence decisions and drive strategic alignment.
* Excellent negotiation and influencing skills to gain buy-in at all levels.
* Ability to navigate complex personalities, build networks, and foster trust across functions.
* Experience in promoting a culture of continuous learning, self-reflection, and feedback.
* Proficiency in Digital Transformation methodologies and their application in contract management.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and mentor teams to achieve organizational goals.
* Familiarity with Digital ways of working, DevOps, and Agile methodologies
Strong understanding of key performance indicators, service level agreements, and pricing structures.
Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience in commercial and contract management within large projects.
* Strong understanding of UK contract law and regulatory frameworks.
* Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors is highly desirable.
