Senior/Principal Wastewater Modeller (Urban Drainage)

What the role involves
As a Senior/Principal Wastewater Modeller on Sweco’s Urban Drainage Modelling Team, you will lead the delivery of complex hydraulic and surface water models across a range of public and private sector projects. You will manage cost, programme and quality, mentor junior modellers, and provide technical leadership to clients.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
* Work within agreed deliverables, key milestones, project methodology, and quality assurance and control strategy.
* Lead project delivery tasks, including client engagement and technical team coordination.
* Provide technical guidance, support and training to less experienced colleagues.
* Develop modelling processes and create innovative modelling tools.
* Work on a variety of modelling projects for clients in both the public and private sectors.
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in the model build and verification of integrated catchment models and/or solution development using Infoworks ICM.
* Experience of water quality modelling and/or undertaking UPM studies is advantageous.
* Proficiency in GIS (e.g. ArcGIS or Mapinfo) and Infoworks ICM hydraulic modelling software is essential.
* Track record in mentoring junior team members.
* Experience of managing projects and acting as technical discipline lead on urban drainage/sewage modelling projects is advantageous.
* Experience in managing modelling teams from a commercial/financial perspective is beneficial.
* Understanding of the market and interest in business development to expand and diversify our client base is welcomed.
* For the Principal role you must be chartered with an appropriate institute (e.g. ICE or CIWEM) or close to achieving chartered status.
