Experience required
Essential:
1. UK experience within a public, private or third-sector UK-based client
2. Degree in a related technical field (Water/Environmental/Civil Engineering) or equivalent experience
3. Ability to demonstrate experience in leading technical inputs and project delivery for a range of network modelling and CSO spill reduction modelling
4. Proficiency in using InfoWorks ICM modelling software to construct network and catchment models and develop solutions
5. A solid understanding of hydraulic analysis and design
6. GIS and its use in hydraulic schematisation as well as results analysis
7. Build new and troubleshoot existing hydraulic models
8. Assess sensibility of results, calibrate models and improve confidence in the outputs
9. Data requirements and routes of procurement for hydraulic model builds.
10. Preparing and presenting technical reports to meet industry standards and project objectives both internally and to external clients
11. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams involved in Water Company hydraulic modelling projects.
12. Conducting checks on technical reports and calculation outputs
13. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
14. A full UK driving license
15. Chartered or working towards Chartered status
16. Experience in project management of flood risk or water related projects
17. Relevant software skills GIS Mapping, AutoCAD
18. Experience in providing technical training and mentoring to junior members of the team.
19. Demonstratable experience in the application of flood risk management legislation, planning policy and industry guidance
20. MEICA design legislation and process
