Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support Math's students beginning in September 2025. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group academic support for GCSE Math's students
* Help students develop effective study skills and revision strategies
* Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences
* Provide additional learning resources and academic guidance
* Monitor student progress and report back to lead teachers
* Create a supportive and motivational learning environment
* Strong academic background with good GCSE or A-Level results
* Patience and ability to work with teenagers
* Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
* Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required
* Ability to provide constructive and positive academic support
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience working with GCSE-age students
* Additional teaching or mentoring experience
* Understanding of current GCSE curriculum
Successful candidates will be required to conduct an interview and complete a vetting process which includes an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS, if you do not have one, you can get one through Connex Education at the cost of £58.
