Job Description
We are hiring a Chef Manager at Tiger Primary School, Maidstone, who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is working term-time only and involves no weekends, making it ideal for those seeking flexibility.
The role includes:
1. Up to £14.21 per hour
2. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
3. Term-time plus two weeks in the summer for nursery cover
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Preparing, cooking, and presenting food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client - approximately 270 meals per day
* Ensuring the location meets statutory and company requirements for Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation and procedures
* Enhancing the company's reputation for excellent food and service with the client and customers, consistently exceeding expectations
* Managing the day-to-day operations of the location, supervising teams, managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans
* Being the main point of contact for the client in your school, recommending and implementing regular adjustments and improvements
* Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets to ensure achievement
* Supporting and training teams, leading from the front to ensure everyone can excel by completing all training and managing performance
