Overview
We are looking for a Senior Architect, based in Liverpool and/or Lincoln, to join our Kier Design business. The role involves providing design and other professional services across a range of sectors, predominantly the built environment, for public and private sector clients. Kier Design has recently entered the top 25 of Building Consultancy companies in the UK. This is an opportunity to join an ambitious and growing team engaged across a wide range of sectors.
Location: Liverpool and/or Lincoln
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available; please discuss during interview.

What will you be responsible for?
As Senior Architect you will work within our Architecture & Building Consultancy team, leading a team to produce high-quality design work, comprehensive and coordinated detailed drawings and specifications, and run projects on site. You will assist and direct team members as required with project work at all stages of design and construction.
Your Day To Day Will Include
* Evaluating and advising on environmental, legal and regulatory issues; managing the commercial performance of projects under your control; preparing detailed plans and resource schedules to match workload forecasts; contributing to commercial bids, feasibility studies and planning applications and other regulatory issues.
* Leading substantial and complex projects; managing and coordinating others to ensure effective delivery of work programmes.
* Participating in the detailed design process and co-ordination of design information, including preparing and presenting concept and detailed drawings.
* Leading and supporting local and national bids as appropriate; providing management support to Principal/Lead Architects; networking and generating opportunities and new leads.
* Promoting the business at external events and undertaking other duties commensurate with the role as required by the business.
What are we looking for?
This role is ideal if you have:
* Experience in a Senior Architect role with strong design capabilities and technical detailing skills; experience in team management; knowledge of current regulations; practical application of contract administration, site supervision, project management and CDMC regulations.
* Knowledge and experience across all sectors of the RIBA Plan of Work 2013; ability to lead and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team; strong client relationship skills; innovative approach to design and ability to open up new work streams.
* Senior-level knowledge of REVIT and BIM, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Twinmotion, Adobe Design Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel.
