Your Role
We are seeking our first-ever Director of Non-Financial Risk to lead our operational risk, compliance, and financial crime frameworks. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that WPP IM Co meets the highest standards of conduct, governance, and operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement best-practice frameworks for operational risk, outsourcing oversight, resilience, and compliance.
* Ensure robust systems and controls for a £25 billion investment organization.
* Collaborate with the Director of Financial Risk to maintain a unified enterprise-risk framework.
What We’re Looking For
You may already hold SMF16/17 approval within a regulated firm or be ready to step into your first senior executive role. We are looking for candidates with:
* Extensive senior-level experience in operational risk, compliance, or resilience leadership within a regulated investment or asset management environment.
* A strong understanding of outsourcing frameworks and operational resilience regulation.
* Proven ability to engage with regulators and Board Members.
* Experience in establishing or scaling a Compliance function, including hiring and managing compliance professionals.
Experience within the LGPS or public sector is not required, and while Welsh connectivity or experience is advantageous, it is not essential. Proficiency in the Welsh language is also a plus but not a requirement.
