Job Advertisement: Early Years Assistant (Level 2)
Salary: £ per hour
Hours: 16-25 hours per week (Monday-Thursday, between 9am-3pm)
Contract: Temporary
Location: Early Years Setting - West Belfast area
About the Role
We are seeking a caring and motivated Early Years Assistant to support the delivery of a developmental programme for 2-3-year-olds. The role involves creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that promotes children's learning and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the delivery of play and learning activities that encourage holistic development.
2. Contribute to planning and record-keeping for key children.
3. Build positive relationships with parents and carers, including occasional home visits.
4. Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety at all times.
5. Ensure confidentiality and follow all organisational policies and safeguarding requirements.
Essential Criteria
Applicants should have one or more of the following:
6. A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Children's Care, Learning and Development (or equivalent), or
7. At least one year's experience working with children aged 0-6 years in an early years setting.
A combination of both qualification and experience is desirable.

8. Start date subject to completion of AccessNI and Trust vetting checks (these can be arranged and funded by the employer if required).
9. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the UK and provide proof before appointment.
