About The Role
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated School Attendance & Admissions Officer on a part time, permanent basis to this significant strategic role, joining our busy school admin team. Your key duties will be:
* To lead the Attendance Strategy for Ark Little Ridge, monitoring pupil attendance daily and ensuring this is accurately recorded in the academy’s Management Information System (Bromcom)
* To identify pupils whose absence, lateness and welfare are a cause for concern and advise to appropriate staff
* To work closely with parents to implement appropriate strategies where required to improve attendance
* To apply all statutory/legal processes to address poor attendance
* To provide admissions advice and guidance to parents/carers of prospective pupils
* To deal with all parent admissions enquiries made via email, telephone or in person
* To liaise with other schools regarding data and information required as part of the admissions process including requesting CTFs, and ensuring all information is uploaded in a timely manner
* To maintain accurate records throughout the admissions process, ensuring that Bromcom is updated with all relevant information
* To manage the administration of pupils leaving the academy, including the transfer of paper based and electronic files
The role also involves working as a team supporting the other members of admin staff, particularly with parent enquiries in person or on the telephone during busy periods.
