Offer description

The right person must have great IT skills, be enthusiastic, forward thinking, highly motivated, and fit well into our small friendly team, who work hard to provide an excellent service for our patients, colleagues and the GPs.

This is an exciting, varied and fast paced role with tasks including reception and telephone cover, prescription administration, patient record summarising, dealing with medical reports et al.

Responsibilities include:

- Greet and welcome patients & visitors in a professional and friendly manner

- Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate department or individual

- Provide accurate information to callers and assist with their inquiries

- Schedule appointments

- Perform data entry tasks and maintain accurate records

- Assist with administrative tasks required in a GP surgery

The ideal candidate must have the following skills:

* Strong clerical skills with the ability to type accurately and efficiently
* Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
* Excellent IT skills including data entry and using computerised systems
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
* Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role is preferred

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour
