Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Special School Nurse - Band 5 to join their team. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with children with complex health needs and supporting them to access their education.
The role is term time only, 23.5 hours per week, and offers excellent opportunities to care for children with a wide range of physical and learning disabilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational, personal, and clinical skills, as well as a good working knowledge of SEND and safeguarding.
Main Duties
The post holder will deliver a wide range of clinical care to pupils during the school day and work with education and social care to provide holistic care. Team working and experience in multi-agency working are essential.
Person Specification
* Registered Children’s / Learning Disability / Adult Nurse with effective registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
* Nursing Degree or equivalent qualification
* Teaching and assessing qualification or willingness to work towards
* High standard of written communication skills
* Ability to demonstrate safe clinical practice, including risk assessment
* Ability to demonstrate knowledge of supporting children with complex health needs
* Good working knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection
