Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nursing Associate to join the East Durham Treatment and intervention Team. The applicant must have already have completed the Nursing Associate foundation degree and be a registered Nurse Associate on the NMC register. The successful applicant will work as part of the busy community team offering a recovery focused pathway to Service Users and will carry their own caseload as Lead Professional.

We are big on teamwork here at East Durham CMHT and the successful applicant will become part of a well established and effective team - helping to support our local community.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will work as part of the busy integrated community mental health team offering a recovery focused interventions to service users. The applicant will carry their own caseload as Lead Professional with supervision and support from the wider multi disciplinary team. This role will involve multiagency working and liaison with other services within Tees Esk and Wear Valley NHS Trust.

Qualifications

Essential

1. Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register
2. Nursing Associate Foundation Degree qualification
3. GCSE Grade A-C in Maths & English or skills level 2 Maths & English or equivalent

Desirable

4. Qualification in assessment, supervision and teaching in clinical practice

Experience

Essential

5. Up to date understanding of the scope of and role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and multidisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
6. Understands and acts in line with NMC professional standards for practice contained within The Code.
7. Experience of working with clients who experience mental illness

8. Experience of working within an community setting
