Building Services Manager – Healthcare Construction
Location: Wilmslow (site-based with regional projects)
Overview
We are a privately owned construction and engineering business specialising in Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) for healthcare projects across the UK. Our focus is on designing and delivering high-quality, efficient facilities that drive social, economic, and environmental benefits.
We are seeking a Building Services Manager to take ownership of MEP services across key healthcare projects. This role is ideal for someone with experience in construction within NHS environments, who understands the complexity of healthcare facilities and can confidently lead multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage MEP services delivery across healthcare construction projects.
* Act as primary contact for clients and their professional teams on all MEP matters.
* Oversee project planning, progress monitoring, and quality systems.
* Champion company values, ensuring culture, skills, and morale are embedded within site teams.
* Ensure seamless adoption of project management tools (4P, R-Drive, Multivista, M-Site, Asta Power Project).
* Contribute to design reviews, value engineering, cost reviews, and reporting.
* Support social value initiatives and sustainable construction practices.
* Lead client meetings, progress updates, building control reviews, and surveys of M&E services and plantrooms.
Weekly/Regular Objectives
* Run internal progress meetings and strategy/planning sessions.
* Track programme updates and maintain action trackers.
* Manage stage 3–4 design reviews and VE research.
* Record delays, produce R-Drive quality reports, and conduct cost reviews with PQS.
Candidate Profile
* 5+ years’ experience in MEP/building services management within construction.
* Proven track record in healthcare/NHS projects (essential).
* Strong technical knowledge of building services, M&E, and MMC.
* Leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams.
* Skilled in project planning, design reviews, quality assurance, and client liaison.
* Familiarity with software such as Asta, 4P, and Multivista is advantageous.
