So, what will you be doing?
Lead and manage people, processes, and systems, in order to ensure goods are received, stored, dispensed and dispatched safely and in line with the company standards and productivity targets are met.
Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
Ensuring health and safety is it's incorporated into normal business activities and that it is given equal priority to all other aspects of business management.
Ensuring adequate supervision, information and instruction for all employees, temporary employees, contractors, and visitors in their area of control.
Ensuring that all members of their team are aware of their responsibilities and have received appropriate training.
Implementing disciplinary procedures, when appropriate if health and safety rules are contravened.
Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing process, operational, and personal policies and procedures.
Complies with EU, UK and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by complying with existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advertising management on required actions.
Effectively monitors flow of goods and implements First - in First - Out (FIFO) method in the use of raw materials and in dispatching of finished goods.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with stock management systems, following any appropriate guidelines issued accounting and audit departments. Implements preventive measures based on the result of inventory variance analysis.
Ensure all activities are carried out according to GMP/GDP guidelines
Propose, develop, and implement the use of more automated and computerised systems where necessary
Ensure all items are stored safely and securely as required
Efficient planning of workload to manage varying priorities
What you will bring
