Citywide - Locality Teams
Salary: £46,023 - £54,476 (pro-rata for part-time)
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks
For social work qualification - MHO and Practice Educator qualifications attract an additional salary supplement.
Hybrid and home working available to support a work/life balance.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Edinburgh Social Care Partnership as a Senior Social Worker. We are looking for highly motivated, experienced senior or social worker to join our fast-paced and dynamic service that provides a responsive and person-centred service across a range of our locality teams.

About the Service
The Edinburgh Health & Social Care Partnership is on a journey to transform the way in which Social Work delivers support and services to ensure that we support adults with multiple and complex needs, and increasing levels of frailty, to live as independently as possible.
We work effectively with our health colleagues and a broad range of partners to ensure that the most vulnerable within our city get the right service in the right place at the right time. We have a key priority to shift the balance of care and promote effective early intervention and preventative supports.
About You
We are looking for qualified senior social worker, who is committed to making a real difference to people’s lives, who are energetic, imaginative, creative, and resilient. Ideally, we are seeking experienced social worker who can join our team as council officers.
Trauma informed, relationships and strengths based social work is at the heart of our practice. Adhering to the Social Care (Self-directed Support) (Scotland) Act 2013 to provide a range of choices to people for how they are provided with the support they need.
Key Responsibilities
You will undertake a range of statutory tasks including:
* Assessments and support planning
* Risk assessment and risk management
* Duties under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 and Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and will support adults, their families, and carers, to balance the complex areas of risk and need with choice Scottish Services Council (SSSC).
These posts are exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended). Your PVG fee and SSSC fee will be paid by us (where applicable).

Knowledge, skills and understanding
* Knowledge of current social work legislation and policy
* Ability to prioritise workload, work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Computer/IT literate
* Knowledge of systems used within Health and Social Care (Desirable)
* The ability to recognise and challenge poor performance (Desirable)
* The motivation, encouragement and support of staff in maintaining high performance (Desirable)
Qualifications and training
* Degree in social work or equivalent recognised by Scottish Social Services Council
* Registration with SSSC
* Adult support and protection (Desirable)

* Recognises and works within professional boundaries
* Ability to gather and/or analyse complex information and prioritise and appropriate response
* An ability to keep and maintain accurate electronic records of work
* A willingness to learn and a commitment to continuous professional development
* Managing allocation of work within the team
