We are looking for registered Pharmacy Technicians who would be based at Queen’s Hospital in Romford. Duties include:
• Clinical ward-based duties, including counselling and transcribing
• In and out-patient dispensing
• Assessment of patients' own drugs and drug history taking
• Discharge counselling
We have a comprehensive training package which will enable you to develop as a clinical ward-based technician. This includes
• Competence in the assessment of Patient’s Own Drugs
• Competence in taking a medication history
We are looking for a technician with a NVQ 3 in Pharmacy Services, or equivalent, who is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. We will consider newly qualified technicians or technicians about to qualify. You must be hard working, accurate and have some experience of working in a UK hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will carry out routine pharmaceutical duties in a professional manner and provide a high quality, patient orientated service, both in dispensaries and on the wards

Education/ Qualifications
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a UK Pharmacy Technician
* Level 3 QCF Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills (NVQ) or equivalent
* Level 3 QCF Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BTEC) or equivalent
Skills/ Abilities
* Good dispensing practices.
Experience/ Knowledge
* Has worked in Pharmacy Hospital environment
* Experience of dealing with the public
