About the Opportunity
We are looking for enthusiastic Chinese Students (current or past) of the University of Manchester to be the face and voice of our brand in Manchester, UK. As a successful candidate, you will increase our brand awareness and sign ups by promoting SkilledUp Life through social media, student forums and word of mouth. You will work closely with SkilledUp Life management team to achieve its marketing goals and objectives, such as communicating the value of our service to fellow students, tracking feedback, and representing and promoting our brand.
To excel in this role, you will have excellent communication and networking skills with a strong presence on social media. An academic background in Marketing knowledge of sales and marketing principles is strongly desired but not essential.
Our Needs
* Chinese national.
* Fluent in English – both written and spoken.
* Be a University of Manchester student (past or present).
* Strong presence on social media.
* Computer with Internet access.
* Knowledge about the Tech industry is an added advantage.
* Graduate degree or similar education preferred but not essential – experience rules, as you can expect.
* Excellent record keeping, communication skills and attention to detail.
* Self-learner and ability to execute tasks without any supervision.
Activities
Your target is to acquire a minimum of 1,000 Volunteer signups during the Volunteer Term and encourage a minimum of 10 tech entrepreneurs to sign up as companies. Working with our senior leadership, your role includes:
* Familiarising yourself with the company’s mission, vision, and goals.
* Working closely with the team to conceptualise marketing campaigns and strategies.
* Educating fellow students and professors about SkilledUp Life, and get them to sign up.
* Creating social media content to drive brand awareness and attract new Chinese volunteers and tech entrepreneurs.
* Reporting feedback.

You will gain first-hand knowledge and experience in an English-speaking global tech startup.

* Contribute to a meaningful outcome with Skilled Up Life.
* Gain communication and marketing skills.
* Gain Social Media Marketing Skills.
* Gain experience in user acquisition and conversion.

* Provide a Letter of Recommendation.
