The Role
You'll be instrumental in driving plant and process design, maintenance, and development, with a laser focus on safety, compliance, and innovation in a COMAH site.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design, inspection, and development of high-hazard chemical processes.
* Champion COMAH and REACH compliance, keeping us ahead of regulatory expectations.
* Drive HAZOPs, process optimisation, and safety envelope development.
* Oversee plant commissioning and modifications—from concept to documentation and delivery.
* Partner with HSE, regulators, and auditors to prove our performance.
* Play a pivotal role in our COMAH Intervention Programme, focusing on Process Safety and Aging Plant strategies.
* Train, mentor, and support operators during trials, commissioning, and process rollouts.
The Candidate
* Strong experience in chemical/process engineering within a COMAH-regulated environment.
* A proven track record in process safety, compliance, and plant optimisation.
* Sharp troubleshooting skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
* The confidence to lead multi-disciplinary teams and engage with senior stakeholders, regulators, and auditors.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
