About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. Joining HC-One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to those people.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents. You will also assist the Home Manager in organizing essential fundraising events. Whether you’re encouraging Residents to socialise more, developing new activity ideas based on their hobbies, or involving the care team, you will do so with kindness and consideration.
We are looking for someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to get along with people, planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. You should be able to manage your time effectively and communicate kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know the appropriate actions to take. Attendance at safeguarding training is required, along with the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns when necessary.
