Salary - 12.41 We are currently seeking a reliable and organised Store Person to join our hospitality operation on a permanent, part-time basis. This role is essential in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our departments by ensuring stock is received, stored, and issued efficiently and accurately.

Previous experience in a stores, stock control, or warehouse role is desirable.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Physically able to handle manual tasks, including lifting and moving stock.

Hours: 32 hours per week, worked across 5 days between Monday and Saturday

Key Responsibilities
Goods Receiving & Storage
• Receive all deliveries in accordance with company procedures.
• Check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes, reporting discrepancies, damages, or shortages promptly.
• Ensure all stock is correctly labelled, dated, and stored in appropriate areas (dry store, chilled, frozen, bonded, etc.).
• Maintain orderly, clean, and secure storage areas at all times.
Stock Control & Distribution
• Issue stock to the kitchen, restaurant, bar, and events teams accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
• Assist with regular stock takes, audits, and inventory reporting.
• Monitor stock levels and highlight potential shortages, overstocking, or slow-moving items.
Food Safety, Hygiene & Compliance
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and allergen control procedures.
• Ensure temperature controls are maintained and recorded where required.
• Comply with health & safety legislation, including manual handling and COSHH regulations.
• Support audits and inspections by maintaining accurate records and clean storage environments.
Function & Events Support
• Support the set-up and breakdown of stock requirements for functions, events, and conferences.
• Coordinate with banqueting and events teams to ensure timely availability of stock.
• Assist with stock management during peak periods and large-scale events.
Waste & Sustainability
• Manage waste disposal and recycling in line with hotel sustainability policies.
• Minimise waste through effective stock rotation and reporting of excess or near-expiry stock.
Communication & Teamwork
• Work closely with chefs, bar management, restaurant supervisors, and events teams.
• Communicate clearly regarding stock issues, delivery schedules, and operational needs.
• Provide support to the wider operations team as required to ensure service continuity.
Person Specification
Essential
• Previous experience in a stores, stock control, warehouse, or hospitality support role.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Physically capable of manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving stock.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible to meet operational demands.
Desirable
• Experience working in a hotel, restaurant, bar, or catering environment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and stock control systems.
• Familiarity with purchasing or inventory software.
Working Conditions
• Work is primarily based in storage, delivery, and back-of-house areas.
• Involves manual handling, temperature-controlled environments, and periods of standing.
• Hours scheduled across Monday to Saturday, aligned with business needs.
