The Company
Our client is one of the UK's fastest-growing providers of cyber security and resilience services. Established nearly ten years ago, the business now employs over 50 people and has ambitious expansion plans. It delivers recurring, high-margin services across areas such as Cyber Security, Security Training, Governance, Data Protection, GDPR, Information Security, Operational Resilience, Risk Management, and Emergency Breach Response.
With over 200 organisations relying on its services – including many leaders in the UK's professional services sector – the company is trusted by a wide range of firms, from SMEs to larger corporates. Strong industry partnerships and professional accreditations further position the business for significant scale.
The Opportunity
The company is at a pivotal point in its growth journey. Already profitable with multi-million-pound revenues and strong margins, it has a clear trajectory to reach a much larger turnover within 3–4 years. To deliver this, they are seeking a proven
Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)
to own and execute the commercial strategy, accelerate growth, and lead the sales engine.
This is a rare opportunity to:
* Shape and implement a winning go-to-market strategy.
* Build a high-performing sales organisation, scaling from an established 200+ customer base.
* Expand into wider professional services and commercial sectors.
* Develop and monetise new productised services and offerings.
* Strengthen and grow channel and affinity partnerships.
* Position yourself for succession, with the very real opportunity to step into the CEO role.
With equity participation, you will share in the company's value creation and be part of a likely transaction event within 3–4 years.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and lead the commercial strategy to achieve significant revenue growth.
* Lead, mentor, and grow the sales leadership team (BDR, SDR, field sales, managers).
* Build, professionalise and optimise sales processes and reporting.
* Expand and develop the IT channel partner network and affinity partnerships.
* Support product development with market insights and opportunity spotting.
* Drive a performance-driven, ambitious, and supportive sales culture.
* Report directly to the CEO, preparing for succession to a potential CEO position.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a proven commercial leader who:
* Has successfully scaled a cyber security, IT services, or MSP business from early-stage growth to significant scale.
* Understands recurring revenue models and professional services.
* Has experience developing sales channels and affinity partnerships.
* Thrives in scale-up environments – building processes, teams, and culture from the ground up.
* Brings hunger, ambition, and a strong desire to achieve both commercial and equity value creation.
* Is based within reach of the company's North West HQ and willing to be visible and hands-on.
This is not a corporate vendor role – we need a builder, strategist, and operator who knows how to scale businesses of this size.
Why Join?
* A high-growth, profitable, scale-up environment with strong foundations.
* A leadership role with genuine succession opportunity to CEO.
* Equity participation with realisable value in the next 3–4 years.
* The chance to shape and grow one of the UK's most trusted cyber resilience providers.
