Job Overview
We are expanding our team and are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated Emergency Department (ED) team at Frimley Park Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality medicines management within a dynamic acute setting. Our Pharmacy Department is forward-thinking and progressive, committed to providing a modern, patient-focused hospital pharmacy service. You will be supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team and encouraged to contribute ideas that enhance patient care and service delivery.
Main Duties
* Deliver a comprehensive medicines management service within the Emergency Department.
* Provide expert advice and practical support to clinical staff on medicines-related matters.
* Promote the safe, effective and economical use of medicines.
* Undertake a range of technical pharmacy duties to ensure high standards of pharmaceutical care.
* Contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement.
* Work collaboratively with the wider pharmacy and ED teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
* Medicines Management experience or accredited (GPhC recognised course).
Desirable criteria
* GPhC recognised accredited checking qualification.
Experience & Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Current or recent work in the pharmacy sector.
Desirable criteria
* Experience of working in hospital pharmacy.
Skills
Essential criteria
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Focus on quality patient-centred care.
* Computer literacy.
