Due to continued planned growth of our business, we are looking for a dynamic Groundworks Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen the commercial department at RMG Groundworks Ltd.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful individual will be working across our varied portfolio of works of both Commercial and Housing Contracts, responsible for ensuring the financial viability of your projects. As an integrated member of our team and fully supported as a part of the companies senior management, you will be working closely with the operation team & Estimating Department to proactively mitigate risks, provide commercial advice and awareness to the team, produce internal/external valuations and establish your sites period financial position through producing a Cost & Value reconciliation report.
Responsibilities
* Asisting and have liasion with the companies buyer by continuing to improve the companies procurement strategy to identify and analyse financial commercial risks and to inform the wider team of the implications if any.
* Allocation of works to Sub Contractors within budget.
* Manage Sub Contractors and thier applications and issuing the relevant notices.
* Submitting Applications for Payments to clients.
* Visiting sites for valuations/varaitions and meetings as required.
* Management of site level change management.
* Working within agreed timescales set by the Commercial Director.
* Maintaining strong relations with our valued clients, whilst operating under standard forms of Contracts such as NEC, JCT and the housing developers standard procedures and terms.
* Developing process and procedures to benefit the buisness.
Qualifications
* HNC or HND or higher qualification in Qunatity Surveying
* 5 years experience as a fully functional Qunatity Surveyor within the Construction Industry and experience in Groundworks and Civil Engineering is desirable.
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent Communicator with strong presentable skills.
* Able to form constructive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and clients.
* Ensuring application debtors are minimised and prompt Final Accounts are settled.
