Macgregor Black are partnering with a well-established toy brand on the search for an Area Sales Manager. This is a permanent remote role.
As the Area Sales Manager, you will manage and grow sales across a diverse portfolio of independent retail customers. This role focuses on independent stores, toy specialists, and garden centres, working with established accounts while developing new business opportunities.
This is a field-based role, ideal for a self-motivated sales professional with strong relationship-building skills and proven success within consumer goods.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and develop sales across a defined Southern territory (majority being South West)
* Build strong, long-term relationships with independent retailers, toy specialists, and garden centres.
* Drive sales growth through effective account management, range reviews, and new product introductions.
* Identify and convert new business opportunities within the territory.
* Plan and execute regular customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
* Negotiate terms, promotions, and in-store activity to maximise sell-through.
* Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback.
* Accurately forecast sales and report on territory performance.
* Represent the brand professionally at trade shows and industry events when required.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven field sales experience within consumer goods (toy industry experience highly desirable)
* Strong understanding of independent retail environments
* Experience selling to toy stores, specialist retailers, or garden centres is an advantage
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
* Strong commercial awareness and results-driven mindset
* Full UK driving license
Salary £40k + bonus + company car.
