Job Summary
We are looking for a Digital Platform expert to transform how we deliver critical services. In this role, you will assess existing platforms, participate in updates and replacement projects, and execute lifecycle‑management strategies in line with NHS standards and best practices. You will work on both on‑premise and cloud platforms, collaborating with IT and clinical teams to optimise delivery, ensure high availability, security and performance, and to refresh, replace or decommission systems. Your expertise will be vital for troubleshooting complex issues and implementing security and compliance measures across the NHS framework.

Responsibilities
* Assessment of existing platforms
* Participation in upgrade or replacement projects
* Execution of lifecycle‑management strategies aligned with NHS standards and industry best practices
* Collaboration with IT and clinical teams to optimise platform delivery, ensuring high availability, security and performance
* Refresh, replace, or decommission platforms as required
* Troubleshooting complex platform issues and implementing solutions to minimise service disruptions
* Implementation of security and compliance best practices within the NHS framework
* Contribution to the overall improvement of platform infrastructure, enhancing system performance, scalability and reliability

* Knowledge of IT best‑practice standards, procedures, policies and protocols
* Evidence of support and debugging of IT platforms
Desirable Knowledge
* Knowledge of working in a healthcare IT environment
* Understanding of IT security
* Understanding of artificial intelligence
Qualifications
* Relevant degree level or equivalent, or evidence of equivalent knowledge, skills and experience
* Relevant subject‑matter qualification (e.g., Microsoft/MSCE/Azure) or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience
* Evidence of continued professional development
Desirable Qualifications
* Project Management qualification (e.g., Prince2, SCRUM)
* ITIL qualification
