As a trusted partner to the UK Ministry of Defence, our client is seeking a Manufacturing Logistics Services Analyst to support a major, group wide Digital Transformation programme. This role sits at the heart of the IMPACT initiative, modernising how manufacturing and logistics services operate across the organisation. The programme focuses on upgrading SAP ERP from ECC6 to S/4HANA, driving process alignment, standardisation, and improved ways of working across the group.
Key Responsibilities:
I supported the UK Manufacturing IMPACT core team during preparation for an S/4HANA ERP implementation, working closely with the Logistics Services SME to ensure logistics processes, data, and warehouse readiness were aligned for migration.
1. Supported the Logistics Services SME across all preparation activities for the S/4HANA ERP upgrade
2. Documented current state (AS IS) manufacturing logistics processes and contributed to future state (TO BE) process design
3. Completed gap analysis between existing processes and S/4HANA requirements
4. Led master data cleansing activities, including correcting incomplete records, removing duplicates, and validating storage locations and bins
5. Resolved transactional data issues, aligning system stock with physical inventory and closing obsolete or incorrect records
6. Supported data mapping and transformation activities, including migration mapping documentation and identification of new mandatory S/4HANA fields
7. Assisted in defining data migration inclusion and exclusion rules for logistics services objects
8. Supported warehouse organisational structure definitions and physical labelling and identification activities
9. Coordinated and tracked progress of stock inventory checks across North and South locations
10. Supported testing preparation and execution, ensuring test scripts and data readiness, and contributed to risk, issue, and dependency identification
What do you need?:
I worked within a manufacturing and logistics environment, supporting ERP transformation activities through strong analytical capability, process documentation, and data management, with exposure to SAP based systems including S/4HANA.
11. Gained hands-on experience in manufacturing logistics, supply chain, and operational environments
12. Supported large-scale system transformation and ERP implementation initiatives
13. Worked with ERP systems, with exposure to SAP and S/4HANA environments
14. Applied strong analytical and problem-solving skills to data, process, and system challenges
15. Documented end to end business and logistics processes to support system readiness
16. Supported logistics-related functions including inventory management, warehousing, and production supply
17. Contributed to data migration, data cleansing, and data governance activities
18. Supported SAP S/4HANA logistics areas, with exposure to modules such as EWM and TM
19. Assisted in managing data quality and migration requirements for ERP upgrades
