Job Description:
Reporting to the European Senior Search Manager, the European Retail Search Manager is responsible for creating and deploying the European Pet Nutrition Digital Retail Search strategy. This role aims to maximize the exposure and performance of Mars' online Petcare portfolio.
The manager defines, guides, and measures the performance of onsite programmatic retail media and Organic Search strategies with European eCommerce partners (Amazon & Zooplus), local market key customers, and cross-market initiatives.
The role supports the regional Retail Media Strategy implementation by working with the Head of Retail Media to build best practices within market clusters and the Digital Business Unit, enhancing media performance and customer engagement.
What are we looking for?
* Experience managing Retail Paid (/Retail Media) and Organic Search activities, in an agency or large business environment.
* Strong understanding of eCommerce and digital search algorithms, engines, and optimization techniques.
* Experience managing Amazon media campaigns, directly or via an agency.
* Ability to benchmark and deploy market best practices in search.
* Excellent communication skills for stakeholder education and reporting.
* Analytical and conceptual skills for search performance optimization.
* Proven project management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
* Ability to influence effectively across borders in a matrix environment.
The role requires high-level expertise in digital search, technical leadership, and project management for various search projects and strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Retail Search Leadership:
* Develop and evolve paid and organic search strategies to improve Mars' share of search and ROI across Europe.
* Manage strategic partners to drive self-serve paid search campaigns on Amazon, Zooplus, and local platforms.
* Build and execute a contact strategy with key retailers and optimize for search algorithms.
