ASSISTANT DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING LEAD (ADSL)

We are looking for an Assistant Designated Safeguarding Lead who would like to join our dynamic and successful school; someone who would like to be part of a friendly and hard-working team.
The successful candidate will:
* Have a sound knowledge of safeguarding legislation and procedures including knowledge of current issues regarding the mentoring and support of young people, the social and emotional aspects of learning and safeguarding
* Successful experience of leading or co-ordinating support for young people including the mentoring and support of secondary aged students
* Possess strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own work load, meet all deadlines and remain calm under pressure
* Have a good level of administrative and computer skills with an understanding of how to use data to plan actions that improve outcomes for vulnerable individuals
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to work collaboratively with a wide range of colleagues and external professionals
* Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible in their approach with a pro-active approach to problem solving
* An understanding of the needs of students who are children in need, children with a child protection plan, those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and young carers
* Be committed to the principles and practice of inclusion and equal opportunities for all
* Be committed to the principles and practice of safeguarding all young people
