HGV Technician Vacancy - Commercial Dealership in Newark
1. Basic Salary: £19 - 19.50 an hour (depending on experience)
2. Working Hours: Monday to Frday, 40 hours
3. Week 1: 6:00am - 2:00pm
4. Week 2: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
5. Alternate Saturdays, 6:00am - 12:00pm (paid at overtime rate)
My client is now looking to take on a committed HGV Technician for their workshop in Newark. They are a large-scale independent distributor of Heavy Commercial Vehicles. A great company to work for, with a long list of benefits!

Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician:
15. Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and trailers, ensuring all work meets VOSA standards
16. Diagnose faults and perform necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner
17. Work closely with the parts department to source and collect the correct componentst
18. Accurately record time, complete job cards, and service documentation
19. Maintain a clean and organised working area at all times
20. Keep up to date with product knowledge and attend training courses as required
Requirements of the HGV Technician:
21. Recognised heavy vehicle qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
22. Valid UK driving licence
23. IRTEC licence (highly desirable)
24. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
25. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
26. Good communication and customer service skills
27. Awareness and understanding of health & safety in a workshop environment
