Driver Hire Stockport are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 (C+E) and Class 2 (C) drivers to work for a variety of our clients across the SK postcode.
We have work available Monday- Friday so whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time hours, we have the flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
Duties of this HGV Driver includes:
1. Driving HGV Class 2 or HGV Class 1 vehicle responsibly, obeying all traffic laws
2. Carrying out required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance.
3. Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on your daily progress
4. Completing paperwork accurately as instructed
Our HGV Driver must have:
5. A Full UK driving licence
6. Cat C Licence (HGV Class 2 Driver) or Cat CE Licence (HGV Class 1 Driver)
7. Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
8. No DD’s, DR’s, IN’s, TT’s
9. 6 months relevant driving experience (preferred)
10. Ability to work to tight deadlines.

11. Flexible shifts – start times typically between 5:00am and 8:00am
12. Varied assignments including: General Haulage, Flatbed work, Day and Night shifts
13. We work with over 40 local customers each week
14. We are happy to accommodate drivers looking for ad-hoc, part-time, or full-time

Pay Rates:
HGV Class 1 –
£17.59ph– Minimum 8 hours paid
£23.53ph- Paid after 8 hours
This rate of pay has holidays accrual included within the hourly rate, if you wish to accrue these separately then this rate will become £15.70ph and £21ph overtime.
HGV Class 2 –
£16.47ph– Minimum 8 hours paid
£22.05ph- Paid after 8 hours
This rate of pay has holidays accrual included within the hourly rate, if you wish to accrue these separately then this rate will become £14.70ph and £19.68ph overtime.
